GENCON 94 demurrage and despatch (printed Clause 7; labelled Clause 8 by rule sets 1 and 2)

Rule sets 1 and 2 cite demurrage as GENCON94-8. In the printed form Clause 8 is the lien clause and demurrage is Clause 7, which rule set 3 cites. The rule is the same under every rule set: once the laytime allowed is used up the vessel is on demurrage, which runs continuously at the agreed daily rate, in proportion for part of a day, and weather, weekends and shifting do not interrupt it. Despatch is paid on laytime saved at the rate the parties entered.
