A laytime statement that holds up

Built for operations and claims staff at owners and for independent claims consultants: the people who have to explain a figure, line by line, to the other side.

The calculation trace

The statement is broken down hour by hour. Every line says whether its time counted, the charter party clause that decided it, and the Statement of Facts event and document line behind it. Where no line can be cited, such as a Sunday under a SHEX basis, the reason is printed instead of an invented citation. Export the statement to Excel or PDF.

One deterministic engine

Supported rules for GENCON 94, GENCON 2022, ASBATANKVOY and AMWELSH 93 are applied to the terms and confirmed events you supply. The engine makes no model call and reads no clock or database, so the same inputs always give the same answer. Its behaviour is pinned by published conformance suites; new behaviour arrives as a new rule set, never as a silent change to an old one. Custom riders and disputed readings still need professional review, and the engine says where a reading is ambiguous rather than choosing one for you.

Counter-claims and audits

Defense mode takes a claim made against you, with the other side’s own events and terms, recomputes it with the same engine, and lists each challenge with its basis, the amount it removes and, where one applies, the clause. Audit mode sets the engine’s figure for a closed voyage beside the one the other side’s statement presents.

Offline verification

Share a read-only statement, or give a bank or auditor a link that opens one claim, expires and can be revoked. Anyone holding the verification package can recompute the claim in their own browser at /verify, or fully offline with the downloadable verifier, and check it against the published engine fingerprint.

AI reads; it never decides

Typed Statements of Facts and fixture recaps are read by fixed rules. AI reading of scans and photographs is switched on per account. Every extracted event is a suggestion until it is confirmed, and only confirmed events reach the engine. Where AI drafting is enabled, every figure in a draft letter is checked against the engine’s result before you send it.

Evidence checks

Claimed weather stoppages are compared with the Open-Meteo ERA5 archive, and positions with AIS where a provider is connected. A check that cannot be made reports “unavailable”; it is never counted as agreement.

Also in the workspace

Claim rooms where the other side proposes amendments and both see the effect, time-bar tracking, off-hire deductions under NYPE and BALTIME, port cost recovery, voyage results and roles that the server enforces.
