GENCON 2022 Clause 11 — Commencement of Laytime

Laytime commences at the earlier of the start of cargo operations and a clock rule keyed to the notice: 14.00 the same day where the notice was tendered up to and including noon, and 08.00 the next day where it was tendered after noon but during office hours. On SHEX terms the next day is the next working day, and a notice tendered on a non-working day starts laytime at 14.00 on the next working day. There is no turn time. The form does not define office hours, so LayGrounded requires them to be set for a claim that needs them rather than assuming a figure.
