AMWELSH 93 — Agreed excepted periods, exceptions and strikes

An excepted period the parties agreed and logged is excluded from laytime and cited to their own agreement. The form's exceptions (Clause 8) and strikes (Clause 9) are separate provisions. Clause 9 counts only half the laytime while a qualifying strike lasts, and halves the demurrage rate during it unless demurrage had begun before the strike. LayGrounded does not yet apply Clause 9. A strike logged as an agreed excepted period is excluded in full, and a strike not logged at all counts in full; neither is what Clause 9 provides.
